Lounge Daddy
Last week and into the weekend I had been hearing about Fred Thompson responding to Huckabee's repeated repeated self-references as a conservative. Also over the weekend Rick Santorum has had some things to say about John McCain. This is something that I have found unsettling: "conservative" has come to mean "Christian" and "pro-life" in recent years. Federalism and right to property and personal liberty have all been dismissed from modern conservatism. This is very much troubling when considering that modern liberalism used to champion individual liberty rather than collectivism and a helping hand rather than government sanctioned handouts. Has socialism crept into both major parties? It will be unsettling to have Obama or Clinton at the top of one ticket, and Huckabee or McCain at the top of the other. That, in my mind, would be the worst case scenario in an election--and a very bad sign for where our country is heading. And hearing the arguments for one ticket or the other would be akin to hearing arguments between Lenin and Mussolini. Class warfare, and socialism in the name of God or the state. At any rate, Rush had some things to say about Fred Thompson calling out Huckabee. Carnanc
I completely agree. I really hope that McCain does not win Michigan, but its not looking good. I like what Rush had to say yesterday in response to the notion that Reagan Conservatism is dead, referencing those who would attempt to redefine conservatism. He emphasized how conservatism is a philosophy present in the founding of our country in the Constitution and Declaration of Independe, and that its principles can not die. Lounge Daddy
This is Mitt's home state... I think if Mitt doesn't win here, it may just be all over for him going into super tuesday. That would leave it a race primarily between Huckabee and McCain.

Ash Wednesday
The Domino's Pizza guy endorsed Mitt Romney and touted his commitment to life and family issues. I thought Mitt was kind of a flip flopper on those things.
Didymus
compare McCain and Romney's health care plans and tell me who is the conservative... here's a hint, we want more than lower taxes... and when it comes to illegal immigration it becomes completely obvious that Romney is full of b.s., because it is impossible to carry out what he pledges to carry out. Call it what you will (conservative or liberal) McCain's plan for handling illegal immigration is far better than the emptiness of Romney's regurgitated rhetoric and when has Limbaugh been anything more than an act anyways? He's part of the same drive-by media he condemns... but I do agree with what Thompson said about Huckabee. 1337 k4th0l1x0r
Huckabee will do as much as McCain, Romney, or even Bush to end abortion in this country. Nothing. Sure, they all have intentions to, but honestly, it's not going to get done, even with our game of Supreme Court Roulette.

In your view, who is going to do something to end abortion in this country? Or make the greatest headway?
