Deep Vein Thrombosis

I know I don't post as much as most, so I'm sure my absence didn't register with many, if at all. But, since Tuesday evening I've been in the hospital for treatment of DVT, or as its more commonly known, a blood clot. One which happened to be the entire length of my left leg, and had probably been there for ohhhh...six weeks. I'll tell the whole sorted story some other time.

Needless to say, I am a very lucky woman, praise God. But I would still appreciate prayers for a full recovery. I'm home with my blood thinner med, and support stocking, and the swelling and pain has decreased dramatically.

Anywho, I hope all has been well with the pham. :)

Thanks guys. It was scary, and I learned a lot.

If your leg ever swells and is red and warm to touch ... get ye to a hospital immediately.

BTW - I just found this little snippet which illustrates just how lucky I really am.

"Deep Vein Thrombosis, or DVT, is a blood clot that can form in your legs and sometimes move to your lungs, where it could potentially be fatal. In fact, complications from DVT blood clots contribute to more deaths each year than AIDS and breast cancer combined." www.dvt.net

There are some scientists that think Jesus died from Deep Vein Thrombosis. So apparently long plane rides and the sins of the world can cause it.

So which is it for you Az?

Oh and I'm glad you're ok

Fairly certain it wasn't sins of the world, hot stuff dear. Sins of the mother, maybe.

No long plane rides either .... would you like "Causes of Az's DVT" for $100?
