Mercy me
In the aftermath of the WTO debacle do we really want to grant more power to the UN in the form of LOST?
Aloysius
As it stands, the strength of America coupled with its strong independent streak will keep America out of stuff like this. But that doesn't mean the plans don't exist... it's not crazy to think plans for things such as a North American Union are not supported by some people. but there's a strong enough opposition to it in America for now to stop it. but the dollar is going so far down in value, we have to be careful. If the dollar is strong, Americans will keep their opposition to things which might threaten America's economic sovereignty... but if the dollar gets weak enough, the "Amero" might start looking pretty enticing to Americans who are jealous of the worth of the Euro. that's the first real step I could see happening eventually. It's not crazy to acknowledge that there are people who support stuff like the North American Union. I mean, you also have to acknowledge that there's a strong force of opposition to that idea in the American government and amongst the American people. In fact, amongst the American People the trend seems to be going in the opposite direction of such globalization, as secessionist movements have sprung up with varying degrees of minority support in all 50 states. But it does exist... maybe it's not being pushed through by the Illuminati, but it does exist.
