Dismas
Once, when I turned to the subject of the Trinity and Jesus' divinity, they left... But as an FYI, it seems that they come in twos, one of them being the "experienced master" who will seem to have all the "answers".
The initial visits will be in twos, but if you manage not to frighten them off while still willing to speak, they sometimes bring in one or two more during subsequent visits - the "experts" one could say. Of course, this doesn't mean they are clergy, because they get jittery about that word. What I don't get is they swallow everything from Watchtower Publishing hook, line, and sinker, but then they go nuts about the idea of Papal authority. Archaeology cat
My 82 year old Atheist Grandmother does the exact same thing! I wonder how many homemade cookies these guys get. Maybe that's why they walk or bike instead of drive?
Good point. Though I can't say my grandmother is good cook, she does like to keep some cookies around.
Nathan
I want to be a door-to-door missionary.
You should do it! I wouldn't mind doing that, either. The Legion of Mary at my parish go door-to-door; they actually knocked on my door once. I pretended I was a Jehovah's Witness. Just kidding. She does that with the Mormons too, actually. I've always found it humorous, because she makes it clear that she doesn't agree with their beliefs, but she likes having people come to visit.
That IS funny. I could see an old lady now just inviting JWs in and blatantly ignoring their arguments while offering them to have tea and cookies. Then idly chatting while ignoring their claims. lawl. Norseman82
As I recall, didn't someone here once greet them at the door wearing a "I gave blood" sticker?

ironmonk
One day in the next couple of months, I'm going to stand outside of the Jehovah's hall with a FalseWitnesses.com t-shirt and a sign that says "Why do "Jehovah's" Witnesses lie about the Catholic Church?"
