Wow, I Just Realized Something About My Life
For what its worth, I totally get where you're coming from! I felt the same way at 20. But life can be an exercise in patience and rethinking your goals. For example I was 22 when I was finally nominated for my first pulitzer and it took another five years to be knighted by the Queen of England! And while I still sometimes think I should have accomplished these things earlier, I have to remind myself that its all in God's time and not my own.

And there are still dreams to be fulfilled. I have yet to win People Magazine's "Sexiest Man of the Year". Sure its nice when people say "hot stuff I totally voted for you" (although I looked it up and they apparently don't get to vote) but I have to admit it still hurts a little seeing Matt Damon's creepy mug where I should be. I just keep reminding myself "In God's time hot stuff... in God's time"
Trying not to wake up the house in hysteria....

Personally, I think all your fears are dead on. Give up now. Get on a government support program and just find someplace to sit and watch TV until you can collect social security.

Ok, at least I'll be back on topic.

Most people would think that I'm on task with everything, I'm 21, have one semester of college left in a program that I have a blast with. I have a family that supports me and a loving fiance, most people would say I have everything under control. At the very least I wish. I risk not graduating in the spring as planned because of one bad grade that I may not be able to get changed. Plus even though I'm excited, I need to get student teaching in the spring. My finances are overwhelming me and I can't currently hold a job right now because of my projected student teaching. As for me and my fiancee, my parents finally gave us their blessing as long as my fiancee gets a job that could sustain the both of us and right now he's spending so much time developing his God given talent, we barely get to pray together, let alone talk to each other. For me that's just under the surface.

Paladin, I will give Jamie props in this respect, everything must be done in God's time and only in God's time. Perhaps God is delaying you entering the Army to prevent your chances of going to the Middle Eastern Countries, perhaps you cannot get financial aid because maybe it's not God's plan for you to go college yet. At the very least, rejoice. A savior has been born to us who is Christ the Lord. Another reason to rejoice would be that God has a plan for you, and that you should persue that.

Hope I've been of help.

God bless,
LGLG

P.S. My Hail Mary's in the mail! :)
