MIKOTHEFREAKSHOW
has anyone seen Juno? did you feel comfortable watching it? did you cry? i just saw it last nite, it had a pro-life message, but what ruined it for me was knowing that the actress ellen page is prochoice. =( i read in an interview BEFORE the movie how pro-choice she was. however, many pro-life people who see it will enjoy it i believe because it shows her going to an abortion clinic and deciding NOT to have an abortion.. Justin86
The woman who played Our Lady in The Passion of the Christ was also pro-choice, does this make the movie anti-Christian? I really don't care what the actors themselves think personally, I care about how the movie portrays prolifers and our message. Judging from the first point it sounds like a positive portrayal. God Conquers
I absolutely loved it. Michael Cera is my favorite comic actor right now. The only thing I didn't like is that it took the "teenage wisdom" thing a bit too far.

Brigid
I did see and love Bella. I didn't know that anyone was making a movie out of Horton Hears A Who. I'm glad they are, though. I saw the trailer for Juno, and wanted to see it. A few friends have seen it, and all have loved it. I was really surprised to hear such high praise - there's usually at least someone who doesn't like it. It's too bad that the lead actor's not prolife, but I can't say I'm surprised. You don't find a ton of prolife people in Hollywood.

Brigid
I saw it tonight!!! I liked it a lot... it wasn't my favorite movie ever. I thought it was funny, but most people thought it was hilarious. my sense of humor is a little different than most, though. **very slight spoilers** I wouldn't say it was pro-life, necessarily. it poked fun at a girl protesting outside of the abortion mill, and the reason that Juno left the place was because she said it felt like a dentist's office. (or something like that) the message was overall positive, though. have baby and everything turns out well in the end. **end slight spoilers** it wasn't good enough to go on my favorites list, but it WAS really good, and definitely worth seeing, even though there are some kind of uncomfortable spots. but I'm made uncomfortable pretty easily, and I was a great deal less uncomfortable than I was watching Rent, for example. if anyone wants to know more about it without it being spoiled for you, go ahead and ask me. I hate when people spoil it.
uruviel
It doesn't sound near as good as Bella. But I guess it would be interesting to see.

kujo
I saw this movie the other night with my girlfriend, and we both LOVED it. I walked out feeling so uplifted. Despite its occasional crudeness and awkward moments between adult and teenager, I felt that this movie sat the viewer inside an abortion mill. Furthermore, as Juno is sitting in the clinic, thinking about the little facts the abortion protester had told her, her skin crawling from all the noise in the office, her mind still buzzing from the conversation had with the dimwit at the front desk, we see the truth behind the fallacy of the pro-choice movement. We see that this is NOT "uplifting" to women...this is NOT the "choice" of the "liberated"; rather, it is the choice of the enslaved, the scared and the desperate men and women in positions of power who have formulated this falsehood about what women "really need." Besides that, the movie is HILARIOUS...and the song at the end is ADORABLE! I sang it to my girlfriend last night...and she got teary.
