I once heard a former abortionist give a testimony and he was describing how he used to reach into women's wombs with forcepts and crush babies skulls and then tear the baby's body out of the womb piece by piece. He would have a tray with little arms and legs on it. It was horrific to hear!! He said he got into it because that's what a lot of people were doing to make money when they got out of school and couldn't get a real job as a doctor. He said the scales fell from his eyes one day when his little daughter was playing outside and was hit by a car. He held her in his arms as she died and realized that he was killing children. It's weird that people could be so blind!!

To add to what Cmom said, I think it's safe to say most abortionists realize exactly that the babies are human but lie to themselves. I've read several testimonies from former abortionists and nurses at abortion clinics who have crossed over to the pro-life side. For example, it's common practice not to let women see the ultrasound of their baby because they fear they'll choose not to have the abortion after all!

I don't see it as blindness, but as a real cooperation with evil.

Blindness implies lack of choice.

Those kind of quotes are what really make a difference!! Rather than pro-choicers dismissing it as mudslinging, they must face the truth with those ones. They are real children! Because you can dig up dirty facts on any group of people, those are more easily dismissed. But talking about the direct nature of abortions and the reaction of those directly involved is really getting somewhere. :)

I, on the other hand, say the stuff I posted at the beginning of this thread just augments the material in the quotes. Unlike the abortionists in the beginning, though, these former abortionists stopped running from God, listened to Him, and stopped running. If you keep on running from God, as the abortionists in the beginning of this thread have been doing, no telling where you'll end up! They should be made examples of what happens if you continue to ignore God, as sin leads to more sin and worse sin.

I have a friend who is a former abortionist and is now a pro-lifer and a Catholic.

I asked him once how he could have pulled apart all those babies and not thought he was killing a child and he said:

I have to agree with Jake on this one. It's pointless to drag their names further into the mud...they put themselves there simply by killing babies. That's enough for me.
