Any date set?

Sometime in September.... :detective:

Did any of you sometimes find yourselves thinking, "Wow, I can't believe I'm getting married, this is weird!" (?) Or maybe that's just me. It reminds me of the time my best friend held her first newborn child and later she said for a moment she was thinking, "Holy carp. This is weird!"
Anybody got any wedding planning resources? Websites? Phatmasser wedding threads? :idontknow:
theknot.com

My sister uses it a lot I think. And it has some great bridesmaid/maid of honor tips for me too, so I like it too. It has all kinds of stuff.

Only problem is, I registered as a maid of honor for her wedding, and the website thinks I'm the one getting married.

I've always wanted to go to the bridal shows they have in my area because I know thats a way to start planning (meeting and networking with the whole business...not to mention seeing designers etc).

They give away prizes too there, like honeymoon trips and free stuff for your wedding! The only thing bad about it is, you have to get married within the year after you get it  Thats kind of punishing those like me (who have a long time before any wedding is going to happen) who want a head start :weep: :idontknow: dontcha thing?

But you will be okay Ash! ;) :kicking: Check out any shows if they have some in your area...good place to get ideas and free samples! :eat: haha

It's a white gold diamond solitaire. It's perfect. Simple, really elegant and I love it. I prefer silver jewelry so I loved the fact that he thought of that fact. I was worried he'd get me something weird because he always tries to be "different" but sometimes I like "the old standard" ;)

Word sure travels fast in my family. I called another brother living in a different town and he already heard from another brother I called earlier.

PLEASE pray for us, pham. It's exciting but I also feel REALLY overwhelmed. A wedding alone I could handle, but doing it internationally and just thinking about the paperwork for the visa is a real stomach twister and hair puller.

How much time did it take you brides to plan your wedding?????

He was once on PM a long time ago but he generally doesn't do the internet message board thing, because he works in IT/tech support on the job and the last thing he likes to do off work is be on a computer.

Yes, I felt like that. I mean, totally excited, but sometimes couldn't believe it. Now I feel like that with being pregnant!

lol Yeah, sometimes I felt like that with both wedding AND baby! Even after the wedding.... we'd be driving somewhere and it would remind me of when we were dating and it wouldn't feel particularly different... yeah, it was just weird. lol

I took 18 months to plan my wedding because I was trying to finish college before we got married.
