Archaeology cat
I put intelligence, though holiness is right up there, too. With a sense of humour being pretty important as well. I couldn't care less about popularity/social standing/wealth. I'd much rather have someone I can pray with, discuss literature with, laugh with (all things my husband & I do together ). Totus Tuus
Morals are first. As far as appearance, the first thing I notice is how he carries himself and his demeanor towards the people around him.
missionseeker
I'm glad I'm not the only with the voice thing. and while I love to listen to them talk, it's awesome when they can sing, too. (well, I mean). Like, I have a crush on Josh Groban's voice. LOL

In fact, the sound of a guy whining is like fingernails to a chalkboard.

cmotherofpirl
Sense of humor is first, because if a guy can laugh with others and at himself he has a head stand on the rest of the world. I also like someone who sees the world as it is and not how he would like it to be. And finally someone who understands the difference between love, lust and loving. The first one comes and goes, the second one can be earth-shattering, but the last one lasts.
cathoholic_anonymous
It was difficult to pick just one. In the end I chose gentleness/kindness/caring, which I consider to be a good sign of respect for God and a healthy prayer life. I expect that this option is more attractive to me because of my disabilities, which mean that I need quite a lot of looking after. That takes patience. After this come morality and spirituality, together with a sense of humour. Those are my big three. I am not really concerned about physique, as I've noticed that I only get physically attracted to guys who I'm close to emotionally. I can't just walk down the street, see a total stranger, and think, "Hmm, he's gorgeous." If I am very good friends with someone and the other conditions are right, I start to notice his body more and find him physically appealing as well. As for money, financial stability is important, but I wouldn't expect a man to be fabulously rich. Just good at budgeting and sensible with his spending. I voted for 'charmer/smooth talker' in the least attractive category. There is something slimy and repugnant about a man who thinks that he has to flatter you lots and pay compliments all the time. It's barely veiled insincerity. Edited November 11, 2007 by Cathoholic Anonymous
goldbug16
Which of these figures *MOST* in attraction to a man? Alright, I'm picky. This was too hard. 1. Holiness/spirituality/moral virtue (No duh....) 2. Gentleness/kindness/caring (Yeah, I really want a guy who's not gonna care for and love me!) 3.Humorous/funny/clever (Gotta have that sick Catholic humour.) 4. Intelligence/intellect (I dont want to marry a complete buffoon.) 5. Charm/smooth talker/Good looks/appearence ))) Which of these figures *LEAST* in attraction to a man? Authority/power Popularity/social status Rebel/"bad boy" attitude As I said, I'm picky.

mariahLVzJP2
Good one jmjtina! I choose holiness/morality first. (its really that AND sense of humor for me). But the smooth talker/charmer and even good dancer-type has attracted me recently..but i learned my lesson...what a turn off! I prefer a sweet holy-striving guy
