BTW, does anyone know if Greek Orthodox priests are actually canonically excommunicated? In any case, the thing is, I fail to see why Eastern Christians who claim to be in communion with the Holy Father can nearly any dogma they want (so long as it wasn't defined by one of the first seven Ecumenical Councils), and they don't nearly get as much criticism as, say, someone who adheres to the SSPX's rejection of many of the doctrines taught by the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican. You can believe Fr. They seem to adhere to the Church-teaching of the last hundreds of years, I can't find any new doctrines or ideas in their writings. A large number of Cardinals have been quietly saying for years that they are not schismatic , excommunicated, and are a part of our beloved Church. Some people appear to have more charitable feelings for Protestants then for fellow-Catholics! Let's pray for unity!
