Laudate_Dominum
yeah, it's sad to think how zealous so many groups are (PETA, these guys, Planned Parenthood, etc), when us Catholics are generally not that zealous! If we were half as zealous as them.. We've got the true, saving gospel. :(
Kilroy the Ninja
scientology still around...hubbard's dead (we really should pray for his repose). tru dat, but the Raelians don't have any major stars associated with them to keep funding the insanity. But who knows who is in their pocket? And you're right. We should pray for ol' Hubbard. I think where ever he is, he is still laughing.

Azriel
I bet I'm the only one here that knows a Raelian. Personally. I, in fact, work with a Raelian High Priest. http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/newssentinel/5110564.htm

Laudate_Dominum
I bet I'm the only one here that knows a Raelian. Personally. I, in fact, work with a Raelian High Priest. http://www.fortwayne.com/mld/newssentinel/5110564.htm I can't stand their terminology, it's all messed up. Since a priesthood implies offering sacrifice to God or at least a god, why do these people who are atheists feel the need to call themselves priests? Is it like half the terminology they employ, as simply a mockery of true religion? Most people aren't too receptive to the 29-year-old faith that wants to replace all previous religions with a doctrine resembling a blend of "Star Trek" and "The Joy of Sex," and whose global conference center in Valcourt, Quebec, east of Montreal, is called UFOland. This was precisely my thought after I read the raelian's website. The science they present is lame, the relious ideas are ever worse. It's just a bunch of bogus sci-fi ideas mixed with a good old fashions pagan sex-cult. Edited February 14, 2004 by Laudate_Dominum
Azriel
What really cracks me up about the guy in the article (Marc) is that he works in Statistical thinking and Quantitative Measures. How he blends the logical and the illogical is beyond me.
