Christian Sexual Ethics

a woman's vocation is to virginity and motherhood. Mary is feminism par excellence because she fulfilled both vocations simultaneously. thus, it is Mary who we should look to in order to understand femininity more...not the negative ways secular feminists have twisted the definition.

we have equal dignity with a man but we are specifically different and we have specifically different vocations...

I have that bad feminism stuff shoved at me by my mom all the time. She watches too much of the VIEW and OPRAH. Feminists (the ones we find from that are radical) should not even be married or have children. True feminists are those that relaize their self value.

Now chicks have feminism, what is the term for guys that have a respect for their role???

LOL, you all are too funny! I won't post it, but I'll mail it to you all. It's not published yet so I don't feel comfortable with it floating around the web. I trust you all, but there are others out there who aren't as honest. It's eventually going to be part of a book I'm working on.

So, PM me your addresses and I'll send you a copy :D

Donna Steichen's book Prodigal Daughters is very good - personal testimonies from women who have returned to the church after being involved with secular feminism for many years. I don't know Donna Steichen's background, if she is orthodox or not, but the personal stories in the book cover the whole range of feminist theory so you get a good understanding of where different feminists are coming from and it's a good book to recommend to anyone who is a secular femininst. They are very moving 'coming home' stories!
