abercius24
"It's not intrisically evil"? "There is no definitive teaching"? It's an artificial form of birth control and a suspected abortificient. The Church has widely covered these issues in numerous statements and encyclicals. thessalonian
This is truly a serious betrayal of the faith. I hope our good pope steps in. This cannot be allowed! Cowardly it is.

thessalonian
I just sent them the following email; Your Excellency Archbishop Mansell, I just heard that the Connecticut Bishops have decided to allow personel in Catholic Hospitals to rape victims. Rape is a very serious crime against women, but to compound it with a crime against a child who might be conceived in such an act is no solution and is a grave moral evil. I am truly saddened by the decision of the Bishops of Conneticut to buckle under when the going really gets tuff. Gold is tested in fire. I am afraid the Bishops of Connecticut have shown that they are in fact Dross. Sorry if my cricism seems harsh but the culture of death has prevailed on this one. toledo_jesus
they allow it to be given to nuns in South America. Mostly this is because there's a good chance a nun in certain South American countries will be raped. It's not the first or worst time that the exception has been made. That said, I find the rationale for this supremely iffy.
