MissScripture
As someone who has experienced a miscarriage, all I can say is that the world seems more nuts to me everyday. Lesbians whose "marriage" is being tested by having twins. I don't know where to start on what is wrong with this picture. It's a good thing they have social medicine in Australia, because those kids are going to need it.
So, I take it that covers intense psycho-therapy? Sojourner
We've seen cases like this in the U.S. (not the same facts exactly, but the same idea -- seeking damages from the doctor for the cost of raising an unwanted child). I read one in Indiana where the court specifically found that children are a blessing and therefore they couldn't collect damages for raising the child. Hopefully the same kind of reasoning will come up here.
Dreamweaver
Wow, children are a commodity.... I would hate to see how these girls are going to feel when they find out that one of them was completely unwanted. I hope this case gets thrown out, as the mother ("mothers"?) signed allowing two to be implanted.
SarahB
Not to mention, would they still sue if they were identical twins?
I was wondering that, also.
