i went straight from win98 to win2000 to xp and never touched winmillenium

I don't think many people did deal with Windows ME. I would never have, except that it came on this computer, which I was given, so I deal with it.

You might try using their remove tool as it will remove everything from your computer and then reinstall the drivers. Unfortunately, they no longer offer those drivers on their website , so I could not help you there, but try removing everything and I mean everything and then reinstall. You can find the uninstall utility here

If I were you, I'd look into getting an old copy of Windows XP on eBay and upgrade your operating system. Windows ME is no longer supported, its full of vulnerabilities, and it just plain stinks. If you buy a copy of Windows XP, make sure you get the certificate of authenticity key, too.

Or better still, get any one of the various flavours of GNU/Linux. Almost all of them are free. You won't have to spend anything!

My brother can send me a copy, I think...He offered to once before, anyway...but I probably should, since my printer pretty much tried to eat my computer last night...
