fides quarens intellectum
there are a lot of options nearby - i'm new here, but i know there is a Chgo Pizza on Academy (over 100 choices for beer!), and i'm pretty sure there is a Starbuck's nearby (they are everywhere!) - i'll keep my eyes open. goldenchild17
Yeah, when I went to Holy Apostles, that's where we usually went afterwards.
ruso
Colorado, great state, stopped the prohibition to teach in Spanish in the USA, deserve a visit of the Pope, not only of the cardinal Arin ze.
goldenchild17
rockin'!!! guess i'm going to have to wear one of my new Phatmass t-shirts to my parish! sent a PM to Light Seeker too.. i called a friend of mine who works at a church to see if they still have tickets, and they do - but, you need to call soon (preferably tomorrow) if you want to ensure you get a ticket - Haley at Holy Trinity, 719-633-2132, between 8a and 4p. Haley said the guys in CO Springs (Light Seeker and Goldenchild) can come to the parish office to pick them up. Coffee, since you're in Denver, Haley's nice enough to bring the ticket(s) with her to the talk - she told me she just doesn't want to be waiting around for a long time on someone she doesn't even know to possibly show up, so if you call and talk to her, letting her know you'll be there, i'm sure there won't be a problem. anyway, if you guys need tickets, call Haley tomorrow while that parish still has some left. i'm so excited about meeting you guys!! and of course, about hearing Arinze speak! oh, and my ticket says it starts at 7pm.
Do they need names on the tickets? If so, then Coffee let me know who all is coming with you and I'll pick them up. Unless you want to get them yourself. CoffeeCatholic
Just called Haley and got 2 reserved, which i think she's giving to Fides (she used a real name... haha, i know a PMers real name now!). Joey can't come because he's got a confirmation teachers meeting or something, so I'm going to ask my friend Kate. Haley said she's going to meet "Fides" there at 6:30, so that's when I'll get there too. Sweet!!! So excited!

goldenchild17
Just picked up my ticket. Have we decided if we're doing anything afterwards?
fides quarens intellectum
yes! Old Chicago (Academy&Austin Bluffs) might be the best compromise - there are a few American grill type restaurants back towards I-25 on Austin Bluffs, but i think Goldenchild's coming from the East side; there are also Americna grill type place a few minutes East (on Powers), but CoffeeCatholic is coming from Denver. of course, we could just do coffee - you guys decide - i'm just happy i get to meet you guys! there are two entrances to Holy Apostles - one facing East, near the North Carefree entrance to the parking lot (you'll see a lot of handicap spaces), and one facing South, near the Oro Blanco parking lot entrances. At 6:30, i will be at the entrance on the East, standing in front of the round brick structure in front of the main doors. can't miss me - i'm pretty tall for a girl, and have short, wavy hair. Coffee, don't think you'll get lost, but if you do, i remember i PM'd you last week about the books, giving you my cell number. i can send it again, though. you guys decide if we want beer/food or coffee afterwards. yay!
