congratulations!!! I'd offer suggestions on baby names but I'm not sure what names you'd like. My fiance, for example, really likes the idea of naming our kids after Tolkien characters, but we've decided to give our kids names that both of us are happy with :) What did you name the 1st child?

Congrats!

I'd suggest this book for picking out names:

There are many different reasons why someone gets morning sickness.
An increase in the circulating level of the hormone estrogen. Estrogen levels may increase by up to a hundredfold during pregnancy.
Low blood sugar during pregnancy.
An increase in progesterone relaxes the muscles in the uterus, which prevents early childbirth, but may also relax the stomach and intestines, leading to excess stomach acids.
An increase in human chorionic gonadotropin.
An increase in sensitivity to odors, which overstimulates normal nausea triggers.

Treatments include:
Avoiding an empty stomach.
Eating five or six small meals per day, rather than three large ones.
Ginger, in capsules, tea, ginger ale, ginger beer or ginger snaps[5]
Vitamin B6 (either pyridoxine or pyridoxamine), often taken in combination with the antihistamine doxylamine (Diclectin®).
Lemons, particularly the smelling of freshly cut lemons.
Accommodating food cravings and aversions.
Eating dry crackers in the morning.
Trying the BRATT diet: bananas, rice, applesauce, toast and tea.[6]
Drinking liquids 30 to 45 minutes after eating solid food.
A doctor may prescribe anti-nausea medications if the expectant mother suffers from dehydration or malnutrition as a result of her morning sickness, a condition known as hyperemesis gravidarum. In the US, Zofran (ondansetron) is the usual drug of choice, though the high cost is prohibitive for some women; in the UK, older drugs with which there is a greater experience of use in pregnancy are preferred, with first choice being promethazine otherwise as second choice metoclopramide, or prochlorperazine

Now that the Dr hat is off. Names.

Maximus, Adrian, Malachi,

Polycarp

Piccoli Fiori JMJ

Congratulations Adam! It must be very very exciting to have another little bundle of joy on the way! It seems like it was only yesterday that #1 came into the world! May God bless you both with perfect little angels!

(I also think Polycarp is a great name, although I think Peter is better. I do recall reading about a St. Bobo as well... :D )

that certainly may be true, but then again, a woman i work with has had six and nothing worked. she jsut threw up for 12 weeks at a time. and with the last baby, she was so nauseous she could'nt get out of bed.

i was attempting to humorously point out that for some of us, nothing really does work and we just have to make the best of it :)

I just find the name "Pickle Lady" quite amusing. But then, I'm easily amused...

Damien, Miguel, Stansislaus (sp?) Benedict (I personally want to name one of my little boys -if I ever have one- Benedict Blaise) Patrick, Gregory, John, Gabriel, Goober... haha no, but I bet you will call the child that at one point... lol.

Congrats! And I can't really suggest boys' names until we choose one. I mean, can't have someone stealing our choice. ;)
16 weeks and counting... i'm still waiting :P

i will say that i never got seriously dehydrated tho, because as soon as i throw up, i would make myself eat and drink something. i was less hydrated than usual tho, because i would get "i need water" headaches and then i would get cranky with the baby and remind him/her that i would be HAPPY to drink some water if it didn't make me feel so nauseous, so maybe he/she could work on that, and then we'd both be happy <_<
Sorry you're still feeling the morning sickness! Since I found out I was farther along than previously thought, I think I was at 18-19 weeks before the sickness subsided. Thankfully ginger and dry crackers helped me a lot, as well as mint. Now the sickness is gone, and I'm left with the heartburn. Oh well, it's better than nausea.
