Brother Adam
I think according to the rules this is suppose to go in the lame forum...I don't know anymore. I just thought I would let ya'll know Mrs. Bro. Adam is pregnant with our second. She is about 10 weeks along. What I need from ya'll are suggestions for boys names (we already have a girls name picked out) and any home made cures for morning sickness ya'll know about. She usually goes to the ER 2-3 times with each pregnancy because of dehydration from tossing her tacos, so very tasty and good for you,. Dave
Congratulations to you and your wife! However, I'm sorry, but right now in regard to names my mind is a complete blank. I must admit, though, that I found the topic of this thread misleading. When I saw "#2" was the thread title, I thought it was a thread about mushy mud pie, and since y'all know how much I enjoy that type of humor, I got all excited! As for the morning sickness, Ginger Ale worked well for my wife when she was pregnant. Also anything with mint generally soothes the stomach. Gatoraide or other sports drinks can help with dehydration if she can keep that down, but be sure to drink some water too. That's all I've got. Totus Tuus
My mom says the cure for morning sickness is to go back to bed. She said ginger ale and saltine crackers help, too. We have a friend who literally carried a huge pickle around with her wrapped in a paper towel and sucked on it all day because it helped with her queezy-ness. I seriously remember seeing her for eighteen months of her life (two pregnancies) with a pickle in her hand constantly. She wouldn't make much of a dent on it throughout the day, she'd just smell of elderberries on it because I guess the sodium helped or something. kateri05
16 weeks and counting... i'm still waiting i will say that i never got seriously dehydrated tho, because as soon as i throw up, i would make myself eat and drink something. i was less hydrated than usual tho, because i would get "i need water" headaches and then i would get cranky with the baby and remind him/her that i would be HAPPY to drink some water if it didn't make me feel so nauseous, so maybe he/she could work on that, and then we'd both be happy i'm still working on my inutero discipline
