CatholicCid
When do you evangelize? After all youre just preaching to the choir here arent you with the exception of the two? three? Bible Christians on this board. Oh yeah Catholics dont do that. Even I have a limit in the hours of my day. I have posted on other forums before.
As your hours are limited, and you should have a say in the topics you debate, would you like a 1-on-1 debate about the Virgin Mary and the Immaculate Conception? Budge
Didnt we already do that topic? Anyhow that one was to lay the bridge work for the Assumption of Mary claims. Cant have someone go to heaven without dying {course even thats been left to debate} since the Bible says the wages of sin are death. Just more of the false queen of heaven, daughter of Chaldea wanting to be like the most high... perfect and sinless supposely... and ascending into heaven like Jesus. Not the real Mary at all who needed savior just like everyone else.
kenrockthefirst
Actually Im not surprised. The Church of the Nazarene anymore seems to be a mission field for Catholicism. Why not? Its basically a daughter joined with every ecumenical and interfaith group out there. I havent met one Church of Nazarene member yet, {an EMERGENT board I particpated on was FULL of them} that understands the truth about Catholicism. link
LOL. Literally The pastor of the Nazarene church I attended was ex-Catholic. I thought that his anti-Catholic tirades were quite breathtaking, even when I was a True Believer. He would become apoplectic if you told him that his church was a mission field for Catholicism. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of Budge.

I'll edit in the link if it's still around. I'll see if Raphaels minds if I link to it first. Edited September 4, 2007 by CatholicCid

We Catholics believe that Mary was assumed into heaven. It was God's power--not her's--that got her there. Is your mistake because you are ignorant of the facts, or are you bearing false witness against us? Budge
Hmm I would ask your minister why he was preaching for a denomination that has hooked up with the WCC and Churches Together-a Catholic ran organization. Maybe he was just ignorant of these facts, but that is a pretty HUGE OVERSIGHT if you ask me.

Budge
I take it that you applaud the Fuzzy Bunny Crusade, then.
Hey go for it? But you do seem to act like scared rabbits, and dont go anywhere, and run away. Weve invited you on my board several times, and been ignored. Too much for you? Did you all take the risk of stepping out away from the preaching to the choir Catholic MBs?
jeffpugh
We don't go to your board because it is not a grounds for dialogue, but a pit full of anti-Catholics who are weeping and gnashing their teeth at us, like what you do here. If you want to have a conversation that doesn't include random source posting and ignoring using reason, then we're up for it. We are regular people who have intellects and we plan on using this gift God gave us.

Frankly, is it so strange that Christians believe that the woman who carried the Son of God in her body would be taken up into heaven at the end of her life? As far as popes making up the Assumption as a legend, the Assumption of Mary has shown up in documents as early as the 5th century. Trying to tie the Assumption to Marian apparitions doesn't hold much water. For a decent treatment of the topic, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assumption_of_Mary
and you all are the ones who deny the Rapture?
I would deny the Rapture theories that include Jesus coming two more times. Holy Scriptures speaks of a Second Coming, but not a third coming.

So why have a campaign at all? All the comments about not having an intellect, well that is the basic Catholic apologist technique, youre "stupid" if your not Catholic, just a mere slogan, and for all the talk about gnashing of teeth, what is that? Is telling me how "smart" you are going to convince me to throw my Bible in the trash and follow the Pope instead? Anyhow Fuzzy Bunny Campaign, the word FUZZY is perfect, I would add WUZZY too to really define things...
prose
When do you evangelize? After all youre just preaching to the choir here arent you with the exception of the two? three? Bible Christians on this board. Oh yeah Catholics dont do that.
Seriously? I evangelize every day. That is what I do. That is my job. I evangelize to non-Christians, to atheists, to anyone who will listen to the Word of God. I put on my armor of God and do my job as an active Christ-follower every time I leave my house. I work in ministry and devote my "paid" life to the Lord in a way that I am working for His glory everyday. I don't preach to people here ("the choir" as you refer to them). I login because it gives me opportunity to dialogue and "sharpen my sword" if you will. To have more tools to be able to give reason for the faith that I have. It happens that non-Catholics come here, which I also use as an opportunity to evangelize. I am not preaching to the choir here at all, I am bettering myself as a Catholic and as a Christian. What I am saying is that clearly you feel like this is your duty to go to non-Budge religion (as I am not even sure what you follow) sites and convert us to your way of thinking. I was just curious as to whether you do this with every religion you feel is false, or if you particularly like to attack Catholics. Clearly it is the latter. jeffpugh
I did not call you stupid, I called you stubborn and uncaring. And I don't ask for agreement. I ask that you challenge our beliefs by knowing what we believe, and using the intellect to tell us why, not by bible thumping us and throwing irrelevant articles at us...
