homeschoolmom
They're home. Turns out they missed the shuttle bus because HSson was picking up a bucket of cookies for me. Which, of course, I appreciate... But sheesh... no phone call???

Plan to go to State Fair in a boy's mind: A. go to fair B. ride all the rides C. eat junk food D. buy Mom cookie bucket E. go back home notice details like time are not really in that plan BUT buying cookie bucket was on the agenda, right before going back home . . . which is apparently exactly what happened . . . and since alter-parent figures didn't have a copy of HSson's schedule, they cut it too close in going back to catch the shuttle and you were worried that he wasn't going to remember the cookies

The one who, apparently, thought I would not be at all worried that my eight year old was out until midnight at one of the nation's largest fairs (over an hour later than they told me and over five hours later than the original plan)... So, yeah, I thought that was a little thoughtless of her. Not my son (he's fabulous).

Yay for having friends who live close to the fair! I have that as well. Which makes parking etc. that much easier.
homeschoolmom
You should sit there and pass out rosaries to people who want to park there.
Sojourner
Or leave a bunch in a box on the top of my trunk. That works too.
