homeschoolmom
Indeed you did. Maybe he'll get a free rosary ...
Lol. yeah, maybe. He's sporting a niftly little blue backpack with a can of Dr. Pepper and two bottles of water. I told him it might be a good idea to have one of the adults hold on to his money for him. (Was it too much that I stuck his emergency "lost child" id card in the envelope and wrote our house number and cell number.... ? ) He can also unzip the legs of his pants (which he wanted to wear) and stick 'em in the back pack. Sojourner
I'm glad he wanted to wear pants. That's a good sign.
homeschoolmom
As opposed to just taking the zip-off legs off here at home and just wearing the shorts... because, you know... it's August.

MissScripture
I did not get cookies or fries or ride any rides. I don't know how people do the rides, actually. The food + the vomitrocious ride action would lead to much puking, I think.
I was at a fair once with a friend...and about half way through a ride, we realized that there was vomit on the seat we were sitting in. GROSS! We spent the next half hour in the bathroom (also not the un-grossest thing in the world) trying to cleanse ourselves from it. Yeech. Our riding was pretty much done for the night after that.
For any people who might be reading this who aren't in the know... My son went to the Great Minnesota Get-Together with his friend's family... and $40.
I've lived in MN my entire life (20 yrs) and never have been to the State Fair. That makes me kind of sad, actually...
homeschoolmom
It's his first trip... (I haven't been since HSdaughter was wee little) HSson is supposed to buy me a bucket of cookies, but I bet he will forget. I'm hoping he's having fun. I forgot to remind him not to talk to strangers...

To my credit, I did let him go. The fact that I will worry the whole time is just part of my responsibility as a mom. I get worried about other people's children! I'm going to be such an overprotective mother, it'll be ridiculous.
