MissyP89
ASDFJKL; Oh my goodness. The porn star on this (very cool) CNN special is a Catholic who goes to regular Mass, Confession, and receives Communion. And the best part? Is this a reformed former porn star who has repented of her ways and become a devout Catholic, or does she think her porn career is perfectly ok and compatible with being a "good Catholic"? Very cool if the first case, not so much if the second!

MissyP89
Socrates, the latter. She seems to think there's nothing wrong with having the career she does as a devout Catholic...

Moral relativism taken to its logical conclusion.
Totus Tuus
Sounds like she just wants media attention (from the general public, not just people who are watching tv in their closet).

LSW
The guy who hosts this special(sorry his name escapes me now) is a former Catholic and an anti-Catholic. He recently wrote this rant against Catholicism on CNN insulting the Church and the Pope. I wouldn't be surprised that he had this porn star "Catholic" on just to take another swipe at Catholics. CoffeeCatholic
can you get us her name so we can either pray for her, or find out her email address and send her prayer cards and tell her about the horrors of porn?
Thy Geekdom Come
What an antithesis to the consecrated life! The view this woman must have of herself and of men...makes you wonder how she would approach being a nun anyway. Would she view herself as an object to be used by Christ and Christ as an abusive, advantage-taking Master? How sad that would be!
Innocent
can you get us her name so we can either pray for her, or find out her email address and send her prayer cards and tell her about the horrors of porn?
I'm sure praying for her would indeed have some positive effect, but what horrors would we be able to tell her that she wouldn't know already? She works in the pornography industry. I'm not sure if prayer cards would have an effect, either. She might just toss them into the wastebasket, or think us "immature Purists". But I really like your idea of praying for her. I suggest we all start praying a novena for her exclusively, starting for today. Remember that death-row-convict that St. Therese prayed for? It might not be realistic to hope for a sudden and complete conversion (though it is within the ability of the Holy Spirit to inspire that.) but I'm sure our prayers would help her spiritually. She might grow to love Christ more, and it might gradually help her see the true nature of reality. It might also be possible that she is being oppressed by evil spirits. I have heard that they have been known to thumb a ride on already existing problems like addictions. Do you think that the novena is a good idea? I shall start today. Yours in Christ, Innocent
CoffeeCatholic
How bout to St. Margaret of Cortonia- or St. Philomena- or my personal favorite, St. Mary Magdalene (my confirmation patron). I have all 3 on Speed-Prayer!
Innocent
Well, I have an idea. We'll each pray a novena to our favourite Saint - in effect, "storm heaven" literally.
