Friday Is Going To Be A Rough Day...

Since July, I've been babysitting three times a week for four girls (ages 7mos. to 7 yrs.). In addition to that, I've been hanging out with their homeschool co-op (they actually do quite a few things in the summer --picnics, vbs, etc.), and I've been babysitting for various other families in the co-op. Next Friday is my last day of babysitting. Next Sunday, I have to go back to school. I am sure going to miss my girls! And I'm going to miss being around kids in general. :sadwalk:

I was gone last week, camping. I got there today, and they were ecstatic to see me. I missed having the three year old climbing up on my lap to hear stories. I missed holding the baby until she fell asleep. I missed hearing the five yr. old "explain" how things work, to me. I missed hearing the seven yr. old make up stories and use her funny voices. And it was so nice to be able to go back and see them all today, and have them so excited to see me. It's going to be a looong school year...

:( School isn't that bad! That's so cool that you get to hang out with little kids... at least you weren't in an office all summer :sadder: that just about kills you! :stretcher:

I don't think I'd ever be able to do office work...It really has been an amazing summer, and for that I'm thankful. And I will be happy to see my friends at school, again, but it's going to be hard to leave home, again. I always thought it was supposed to get easier, but it only seems to get harder...

The baby slept almost all day, but she wouldn't sleep in her crib, so I got to hold a sleeping baby almost all day. *sigh* And the three year old wouldn't let me leave. She kept "reading" me stories, but she wouldn't finish them, because then I couldn't leave if she didn't finish. :sadder: I don't wanna leave!

Transfer to school here in Chattanooga. You'll only be an hour away from James, and you can put my five month old to sleep as much as you want. It's a win win situation really.

Yep. Ok, not really but we have a Bachelor's program. Just transfer to Knoxville for your doctorate.

As much as it pains me to stay in ND, I think I'm pretty well stuck there if I really want to do get my doctorate. It requires no transferring. Plus, I'm a northern girl. I don't do heat for more than the summer months in the north require.

I finished today. :sadder: It was so cute, I pull up and the girls come running out the front door. The three year old tells me, "We have a pillow for you!" and the five year old says, "You weren't supposed to tell her that!" So, the three year old grabs my hand and says, "Let's go inside, because we have something for you. It's not a pillow. But it's something blue." So, I get inside and the seven year old grabs a bag (with a picture she colored attached to it) and gives it to me and inside is a blue tie pillow (like the tie blankets) with stars on it (which matches my steering wheel cover --the girls told me this is how they decided on the fabric).
Then, when I had to say goodbye, I was goofing around with the 7 yr old, and I grabbed her and said, "Should I take you to college with me??" And her mom says, "Eh, we can pick her up in a few weeks." And then the three year old wrapped her arms around my neck and I said, "Oh, do I need to bring you with too?" And she said, "YES! I wanna go to college with you!" So, then I tried to convince her that she needed to stay at home to go to pre-school (which she starts next week) and when I come to visit I'll tell her all about college and she can tell me about pre-school.

I miss them already!! :sadder:

They're darlings, even when they're not. And I am going to miss being around kids sooooo much!
