I think it would be awesome to have like a Holy Hour with some songs like "Enough", "Your Love is Extravagent", etc. etc. that are about Christ being our Beloved. Maybe even in the middle have a Rosary in front of a statue of Our Lady along with a talk on her purity.

In Christ,
Mel

I like pink. But I am not into glitter, bows, feathery junk, etc.

I think tank tops are okay too. You can be quite modest in a tank top.

Like this for instance:

But I suppose it is better to be too safe than sorry.
Hmm, personally I don't think either style is modest by itself. Some girls are into that thing where you wear the spaghetti strap shirt over a tee and that can look cute, though.

Lil Red, this whole idea is fantastic, respect for doing this! :notworthy2: I've done a bit of stuff in the fashion world ;) -never seen much modesty, so this is awesome!

I've also been on a few girlie days out in secular youth clubs- we had hair&nails, facials, henna painting, dance workshops, healthy eating, the usual. The discussions we had during the days were interesting, but lacked the right context. What was good were our informal chats about "what does it mean to be a lady? " We got into all sorts of discussions from table manners to sweatshops in Asia, to how one girl didn't own a washing machine, to female role models... So I think your questions on modesty are spot on and will generate some fruitful discussion.

I'd put a religious pin in the goodie bag, too. They're quite inexpensive. I customize a lot of my hoodies and jackets with religious pins, like I have one of the Pieta` smack in the middle of a bling crown logo on my velour tracksuit top, lol.

I will pray that things go well.

God bless

I agree with Lauren. Don't go overboard on the 'cutesy factor'. There are other pretty, elegant items you could get that aren't pink. Personally, I always chose simple over 'cute' even when I was in my early teens.

Stationery would be a nice idea. Most girls appreciate journals and pretty writing sets.

Lil Red,

Do you have a store called "Tuesday Morning" where you are? That would be a really good option for the party favor type things.
