I love my CHI!!!! I mean I have really curly hair and it will make my hair really straight!!! I mean just going over my hair once it will be perfectly straight. Normally it would take me like 30 mins to straighten my hair with a regular straightener but with the Chi it takes me like 10 mins tops
I'm not a woman (big revelation, right?), but I'd add a door prize or two...beauty products or something. Jen has this really nice hair straightener she loves...professional grade...little expensive, but it would probably make a great grand prize.

Oh, and you could watch a chick flick together somewhere in there.
i was going to ask you if it was a chi...
By the way, this is her hair straightener...she says it's by far the best one she's ever seen:

There's a pink one with a little pink rhinestone bling on it, too...it would be perfect.
... but you answered my question. :) i have one too. it's a good one.
thanks Totus! :) but we are focusing on that, in a way.
i got the impression that you are. :) showing girls how to dress in a way which flatters them and is still modest is showing them how to respect and appreciate what God gave them. it also teaches them respect for those around them. it helps them to love themselves without saying "we want to help you love yourself". dressing properly helps people to notice your personality, not your body. it allows them to lovey ou as a respectful woman of God and not a ... you know what.

I am thinking about this. I get nervous thinking about leading discussion about inner beauty because sometimes it comes across as judgmental if they aren't ready or willing to hear it...

Or juvenile if they are in highschool...

I REALLY want to do one this year.

Any ideas for discussion starters? (brainstorming here)

What are 5 things you like about yourself?
What are 5 things you dislike?
How many from these lists are physical?
How many of these things are things that you are gifted at and how many are things you work to improve?
not everyone needs hair straightener. God gave me hair that won't curl no matter how hard I try...
so they could give it away as a gift. :idontknow: i know girls with straight hair who ... straighten their hair. i dont really get it but whatever.

i think the chi might be a bit unreasonable anyway. i would do something like a spa treatment (not a full day, but a massage, facial, or something of the like) that could be donated from a local salon/spa.

I want a chi to undo my messed-up perm. :P

Ahem. I'm reading all of this with interest. Personally I guess I'm kind of undecided on whether I think it's a good idea, but I hope it all works out for the best, lil red :)

I think I want to make mine more centered like a slumber party without the sleepover.

I can get you in touch with the woman who coordinates the big one here if you want.

If you have the opportunity, it is well worth the investment.
