To make the sign of the cross when you genuflect? I've been bowing my head (so my nose touches my knee) for a long time now. Doing so kind of prevents me from making the sign of the cross without taking up space in the aisle for too long.

It's a matter of practice nothing more. I was taught to make the sign of the Cross upon entering a church and dipping my hand into the holy water. Upon reaching my seat then genuflecting but not making the sign of the cross a second time.
