This is opposed to demons just happening to be there, or being attacked by random demons at random times...do we have our personal demons just as we have personal angels.

tell me if that's not what you meant.[/quote]

Hmmm...

Well, I don't remember going over anything of this nature in class but I'll still try to answer.

Considering that our guardian angels are given to us in order to help us on our path to holiness which is a life long process of course, I highly doubt that we have "personal demons" assigned to us. The demons that plague our lives each day are with us until death and that is sin. I know this is more metaphorical than anything but that is the only type of personal demon that I can think of that would be with us our entire lives. Satan's power comes strictly from God and Him alone. He allows Satan to test us but also gives us the power and help (our angels) to over come those trials. It is highly doubtful that we each have our own "demon" assigned to us. Considering that all angels, guardians or otherwise, were all created at the same time for everyone that would ever be created. Not all the angels were cast out from Heaven and thus there couldn't be an assigned demon to each person that was to ever be created.

I'm not sure if that makes any since but there it is lol

A little advice to, for anyone wanting to study the Angels. Know that you will not be just studying the good Angels but also the fallen Angels. In studying any type of demonology it is highly suggested to studying the holy angels 10 times as much.

I heard a priest once say that each person has a Guardian Angel (whose purpose is to get us to Heaven) as well as a Guardian Devil.

Never heard of such, guess I'll have to write Dr. Miravalle and ask him.
