do you pretend, or do you actually know a ton? :P and btw, iggy, if you are smart everyone notices but no one actually dislikes you for it. just so you know. :) pretty much all they do is ask to cheat off of your tests/homework, and since they all know I'm Catholic Girl as well as Smart Girl, they never really expect me to do it... :idontknow:
lol... it's really not that bad, stm, promise. I LOVED my first year of high school, and I'm eagerly awaiting the second. the third, not so much, 'cause aalpha will be gone, but the second should be awesome.

and my first day of high school... hehe... I wandered around the whole bottom floor a couple times before someone pointed me to the choir room, and I was the only freshman in my math class... that was awkward. :) my locker partner was the sweetest girl ever... everybody was TOTALLY friendly, and you could walk up to pretty much any fellow freshman and introduce yourself and they'd act like it was totally normal and introduce themselves too. I made lots of friends that way, actually. I can't promise that all schools are like that, but mine was. ^_^

but I also knew a lot of people because I ran cross country, and practice started two weeks before school. I hated actually running, but I'm sooooooo glad I did it because I met so many people and it really helped. :)
Yeah, being the resident Catholic is good. Even in my "Catholic" school, I got respect in some areas for being outwardly Catholic, and not being afraid of telling the truth and admitting I go to confession... but this was in my grade 11/12 years, because I had become hardcore Catholic in January of 2006.
if your surrounded by emo kids theres only one thing to do... GO SKA!!!
Well... problem with the ska phase... most ska dudes worship ska... as in "Ska saves" and stuff. I've seen a few with some "Jesus saves" belt buckles, but in my experience most ska dudes are rebells. Beats being Goth or Emo though. Though, in the last few years, the term Goth has gone out the window. Last I heard it was in grade 7...
STM, I've really got to tell you...you need to tone it down before you get to high school. Not meaning that in a judgmental way, but you're gonna get pummeled if you talk to seniors the way you sometimes post here.
I dunno... Let him stick up for the truth, but STM, don't be arrogant about it. Know when to fold.

And there is the ultimate reassurance that you're not going through hell. :) :lol_pound:

Okay, seriously, folks, I just graduated. I'm going back for another semester (God be my strength) and I enjoyed high-school relatively. My Catholic school was barely Catholic, save 2 really good teachers, but I had them for religion in all 3 years so God was safeguarding me. He prepared me for the 4th religion credit which was philosophy, run by a liberal Catholic teacher. He was into the whole priestess movement, but I mean I stood Catholic on matters and pursued the Catholic answer, and despite hearing things on how my Catholic friends were sorta looked down on by him, I played the diplomatically Catholic role, without jepordising my faith: charity and truth. Do that, and you should be fine. If not, your reward will be great in the end :D

yep, my school is Catholic. and I'm still Catholic Girl. ^_^ and I'll prolly be even more so next year... I really don't mind, though. it's kind of cool, honestly. the only problem with it is that I totally can't live up to image the label comes with... I make so many mistakes, it's not even funny. :ohno: but it helps that my boyfriend is Catholic Boy (some of my friends are mad at me for dating him 'cause they think he should be a priest ), and I've gotten a little closer to some fellow Catholic Girls. :)

((you know the really funny thing? all three of the people I just mentioned are on pm ^_^))

The extent of my respect went to getting sacred music for the mass. When I whipped out the Catholic Book of Worship 3, the "Choir" screamed in agony because they felt the songs were boring and stuff... I was like, "um, hello! 4 part harmony! sounds pretty!" But in the end, they were all only there to put on a concert. They weren't practicing catholics. the pastoral care is a joke. she's not even qualified for her job. She just keeps her "talented kids" and I just ended up leaving. Annywho I got the priest thing too. Some would be surprised to hear that I may be courting soon. :hehe:

Thanks. God is good. Amazing how I met her. So a word for the youngs: don't expect to meet your love in highschool. I looked, by in the end they weren't Catholic enough anyways. But anywhoo... Even though Highschool is a more diverse oportunity, there is always College and University. Bigger numbers. Whatever. Just have fun, despite the work. Work CAN be fun too!

lol we're not picking on seniors, dude we're not that stupid. calling them senior citizens (behind their back) is like doing the same thing as telling the girl who calls for your older brother that he's in the bathroom and it could take a while. only not as dangerous.

iggy... okay, I know it says Joe Jonas above him, but... at first glance, I thought the person in your avatar was a girl. and I'm not as much of a Joe-hater as most people on here... he just looks really girly there. :tomato:
