First Day Of High School

Hey... (dot dot dot)

So today was my first day of highschool (o dang) and let me just say I have never been so lost and confused in my whole life.

OKAY. So. First Period. I was walking from my locker and like I walked into bio class and I sat next to this girl and was also right next to this cabnit (yeah i know its not spelled right) and i looked in the cabnit and there were all these nasty dead perserved animals in jars floating in like this nasty yellow goop stuff it was SO nasty. So then our teacher walked in and I'm like "she looks nice" but then she's like "Hi guys, I'm your sub!" I'm like who subs on the first day of school? So then we got a seating chart and I'm way in the back next to all the lovely dead things. Yippee.

Second period was computer graphics and like it was just weird. I sat next to this girl who I thought was like going to be normal and nice but she was like death-to-all-emo-despair-everybody-is-going-to-die. I was like whoa. Then on my other side was this really wierd kid.. he had like a zillion and 12 piercings and was like "(insert choice swear word here) off." I was like dang. So i had no idea what we were even doing and the teachers just like "Go." So like I can't even log in cause you need some sort of stupid ID thing that everybody but me seemed to know. But then emo-scary-death girl helped me. so maybe she's not that bad.

Third period I took a piano class and its like out in the middle of freakign nowhere. THeres like this HUGE hall with like 3 doors at the very veeeeeeery end and its in one of those. my scheduel said N/A for the room number so I thought I was pretty much screwed. Then a nice old lady is like "Piano is over thereeeeeeeeeeee" but I do'nt know how she knew I was in piano. Strange. So I get there and theres 2 other kids there. I'm like "hi" and theyre like "hi." it was pretty awkward. so then i'm like "is this our class?" and they're like yup. So we introduced ourselves and stuff then the teacher comes in and he starts freaking laughing and is like "is this our class?" we'ere like yeah. but then this otehr girl comes in so now we have a total of 4. which is pretty sweet. one of the kids names is brandon. he's pretty sweet. i think piano is my favorite class.

I had lunch after then and I didn't know where teh CAF was from my locker so I wandered around for a while and found it later. I felt pretty stupid cause i passed it like 18 times. And there was a bunch of people at the door screaming things like "i'm hungry" and "hurry up I'm starving" and "i hope they have pizza". So i got in and i didn't have anywhere to sit but then my brother's friends come up and theyre like "OMG HI SAM!" i'm like dang. But they let me sit with them and I thought that was awesome. At least until I can make some friends that actually have the same lunch period. Dang.

Then english class was next... really boring not much to say there except my teacher totally hates ND and I can tell we are not goign to be the best of pals.

I got lost on my way to algebra and wandered in there on pure luck. Does anybody know Vice Principal Hackett from that Disney show Phil of the Future? Well he's my teacher. and OMG. holy smokes. I mean JEEZ, he's liek the weirdest person I have ever seen and/or met. he was all jumping around going MATH MATH MATH and i'm just like HOLY carp. very scary. Then he started like laughing evilly. It was crazy.

and THEN i got to go home. and it was only a half day but it took freaking FOREVER.



So. There you have it. My first (and hopefully last) day of High School.

Wow...your high school is fairly normal.

One of my college profs liked to say that teenagers are "normally abnormal," and see? It makes sense. Have the good reasoning to see it now so you can avoid weird emo problems and stuff.

Anyway, I'm just kidding. Your high school experience sounds pretty normal so far. Just try to be kind to everyone, don't be afraid of your faith, and have fun.

Oh, and don't pretend like you know a ton...I did that (still do, can you notice?) and it wasn't smart. Nobody liked me.

Thinks will be all right, young one. My first day of high school was pretty sweet. You seemed to have had a bad run-in. Don't let the emo kids get you down. Be Christian, no matter what. Be a witness. It might not be easy to see it through at first, but after a while, it will all seem mundane. You have Jesus, so that's what counts.

High School was one of the best times of my life, believe it or not. The key is to not care who the popular people are and to enjoy your friends.

do you pretend, or do you actually know a ton? and btw, iggy, if you are smart everyone notices but no one actually dislikes you for it. just so you know. pretty much all they do is ask to cheat off of your tests/homework, and since they all know I'm Catholic Girl as well as Smart Girl, they never really expect me to do it...

lol... it's really not that bad, stm, promise. I LOVED my first year of high school, and I'm eagerly awaiting the second. the third, not so much, 'cause aalpha will be gone, but the second should be awesome.

and my first day of high school... hehe... I wandered around the whole bottom floor a couple times before someone pointed me to the choir room, and I was the only freshman in my math class... that was awkward. my locker partner was the sweetest girl ever... everybody was TOTALLY friendly, and you could walk up to pretty much any fellow freshman and introduce yourself and they'd act like it was totally normal and introduce themselves too. I made lots of friends that way, actually. I can't promise that all schools are like that, but mine was.

but I also knew a lot of people because I ran cross country, and practice started two weeks before school. I hated actually running, but I'm sooooooo glad I did it because I met so many people and it really helped.
