I was a convert to catholicism but I have since left (I'm not sure if there's a process you have to follow to leave) ... I left for many reasons but the main reasons were - (1) i found the catholic clergy to be very dangerous people, (2) catholics contradict each other - they speak of 'one' faith but they are divided between orthodox, novus ordo, St Pius X group, liberal, traditional - what one says is licit is heresy according to another and vice versa, (3) catholics are not very social people - the "catholic" community is a a very lonely place and the catholic faith is very miserable
Dear GodChild,

You seem to have undergone some painful and confusing situations during your stay in Catholicism. For what it's worth, I'll remember you in my prayers. I hope you find the healing you are searching for, and that God somehow shows you his great love.

With love and prayers,

Yours in Christ,
Innocent

I'm almost rooting for the internet to totally crash. I would not mind being booted back to the pre-computer age, technologically speaking.

But I tend to be rather digital myself so it would probably hurt me more than it helps me. At least compared to others. At least business and career wise.

Ha - ha.

:-) No, I can't make highlights on the internet. Easier to find what I'm looking for if I have a highlighted paperback copy ready and waiting on the shelf!

St. Joseph Radio has a good number of encyclicals in paperback:

You can also find them on amazon.com. Here is the publication I usually use:

Check with your local Catholic bookstore, as well. If they don't have them in stock, I'm sure they can order them for you!
