Dave Posted February 7, 2004 Share Posted February 7, 2004 I've heard it said that chewing gum breaks the one-hour fast before Communion. How can this be if it's not food? I've seen conflicting things on EWTN about it. BTW, I'm NOT saying that people should chew gum at Mass. It's highly disrespectful, whether or not people realize it.
