Birgitta Noel
That masturbation IS a mortal sin (in most cases), that most people have done it, that your priest will not be shocked if you confess it (and if you say it first it's easier and all downhill after that), that he will forgive you, and that you can overcome it! I don't know why I thought of that, but there it is!
Birgitta Noel
That not all Churches are as orthodox as the one you may have grown up in. So, LEARN YOUR FAITH if you don't know it already!

I don't know why I thought of that, but there it is! my priest, praise God for him and keep him well, said this in his homily for a LIFETEEN Mass... it fell upon deaf ears, someone was tryin to joke with me after mass disregarding the teaching and i made it very clear i completely agreed with Fr. Newell, and he backed off. God bless Fr. Newel, God rebuke the devil for deafening the ears of the youth .
morostheos
What the Catechism is and how to use it to find out what the Church teaches and why. I didn't even know it existed until college. This kinda goes along with Aloysius' respect for the magisterium one. :) Edited February 7, 2004 by morostheos
joemal1117
How to be open to hear a call for their vocation, married, single, priestly, religious. We need to get to that before the "world" does it's job to block the Still Small Voice

the_rev
i'm gonna bump this! The reason being since I'm the high school prayer and spirituality leader, I would like to bump it to get some new ideas. Thanks Irish for starting this thread, I used it last week, in the Eucharist and the mass stand point! Well, for some reason during mass, I thought of a topic for sunday's youth group. Saints, meaning how to become a saint, why asking saints for their intercession is ok, and more stuff about saints, and to also explain what martyrs are! More ideas, friends! Thanks, Rev
cimlog
I agree rev. I need to broaden my knowledge of the saints. I know very little about any saints. I hardly know history, or anything. I gotta get a book or something.
