I have those floss picks and they are great... though I don't use them as often as I should...

HSdad is a fanatic about flossing....
I tried them but I don't like them as well, so I stick to regular floss.
I have braces so it's almost impossible to do so I hardly ever do it.
I remember those days! And they give you that stupid little "floss threader" that really doesn't help at all. So you just don't do it. And that "between the braces" tooth brush. Yeah, I used that all of once.
Flossing is over rated. I have only had one cavity and it was not between my teeth.
Same here. Knock on wood. :saint: But I'm paranoid of getting more so I try to floss... I just forget most days. I don't think I've flossed in a week. :ninja: I guess I better hurry up and get in my "couple times a week" so I'm not a liar. lol
I floss six to ten times a day. I brush four or five. I use mouthwash two or three times a day. Honestly.
With a 190º mouth full of puppet teeth, I would expect that at the least.

How prone people are to cavities varies. It's generally dependent on how much fluoride was in your water supply during key development stages in your early childhood, but is somewhat impacted by genes.

The exact the location of a cavity is determined by where plaque builds up in an indivuals mouth, and also varies from person to person. If someone has cavities in between their teeth (aka the mesial/distal surfaces) that means plaque is being built up there and needs to be removed. The best way to do this is through floss. Mouthwash is ok, but it's really more for freshening breath and strengthening gums.

Everyone should follow the recommendation of their dentist, and not what other people do.

Just to reiterate, I work in dental for the Navy, so I know what I'm talking about. :P

I don't think you need to be taught how to floss, to actually floss. Its quite simple, there's no hard thing about it, except to actually pick yourself and do it. :)

1.5/day

It's a great feeling. Sometimes a hunk of meat comes out and it passes by my nose and smells so terrible that it gives me incentive to keep it up.
