Focus Conference 2008

I just got the following message via Facebook on potential speakers for the 2008 conference.

FOCUS already has some amazing speakers lined up for National Conference (check out the facebook group to see who), but we want your opinion on who to add to the list. Below are 5 potential speakers and a little bit about each one. Rank your top 3 and then send them back to me. Thanks and God Bless!

1. Mike Sweeney, Kansas City Royals

We're supposed to reply with our 3 choices. the only one that I don't get is #5.

Writer, lecturer, and profound lover of the Eucharist

Jeff Cavens:
Catholic radio broadcaster, Biblical scholar, and former host of EWTN's "Life on the Rock"

Mother Assumpta Long:
one of four founding members of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist

Alex Jones:
Former Pentecostal minister who brought his flock with him when he converted to Catholicism

That sounds awesome! I have a link a friend sent me with an hour-long interview with Eduardo. He sounds like a really cool guy.

I am so excited for this conference! My campus is far away from other FOCUS campuses [we are the only one in Florida....the closest ones to us are Vanderbilt and a school in Virginia, so its really great for us to see other FOCUS people. Besides, the conference itself is just going to be awesome! Plus, I'll get to see all the people I met on the mission trip I went on with FOCUS.

someone help me out here but is this a NATIONAL Conference? Not a Regional?

If so thats AWESOME! lol its right here in Texas!! Sounds like ALOT of people are going to be there too. Phatmass should totally be there! Represent to all the college campus!
