And yes, because the Council of Florence was an Oecumenical Council, we must accept the dogmas it defined or explained. abercius24 Posted July 24, 2007 Share Posted July 24, 2007 I understand the Orthodox believe the Council to have been forced upon them against their will, which they thereby hold as invalid.
