However, I can make out chunks of fingerprint in most of the pictures. It's difficult because they're pixelated, but this is the most obvious one: Oh what I wouldn't give for some software to improve photographic resolution... 123
So why exactly is the Bishop prohibiting Catholics from these people? And services? It seems after all this disscussion I am confused as to why Bayside Prophecies are so wrong. Edited July 24, 2007 by GloriaIesusChristi

jeffpugh
It's obvious to see that they're fingers... look at the colouring of the so called "ball". Don't be surprised though... Sylvia Browne has people eating out of hands, saying that there are leprechauns in an other dimension... Chiquitunga
LOL, this thread is hilarious! Yeah, but seriously, those Bayside apparitions are scary. A couple years ago while I was in NYC at a Traditional Indult parish, someone gave me a 'holy card' from there with a rose petal in it. I immediately cut it up into pieces when I returned to where I was staying. I remember reading once on their site something like Latin being the only language the Eternal Father wants the Liturgy in ever. So it must have appealed to a limited crowd of Traditionalists in the 70's, some which still follow it to this day. Also there's a message that women should never go into church without a head covering. Then there's one where St. Therese spoke harshly against nuns with modified habits. Then the one about the replacement Pope of Pope Paul VI is probably the worst! Latin, head coverings, and traditional habits are fine in themselves - but the way Bayside commands them is scary. It's sad how it can lead people that value these things, to believe the messages are true. But yeah, when I read the official condemnation of the bishop of Brooklyn and how he not only forbids people from propagating the messages, but discourages the faithful even from reading them, I decided to never go to their site anymore, as it really is quite disturbing. Church Punk
OK so just because somone doesnt know how to take photographs they come to the conclusion that this is miraculous. It could be a finger, could be over exposure or dim light source acting with the flash. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to solve these and the Bishop made the right call.
