Sojourner
Well, I'm sure I can't be the only one who, whenever he watches a movie or reads a book, thinks about what mortal sins the main characters have or have not committed and, when and if the characters die, decides whether they die in a state of grace or not.
That is something that never crosses my mind. Resurrexi
Yep, I also say the Act of Contrition in my mind whenever a character in a movie is about to die.

Resurrexi
I know... but it's a good habit to get in to so that every time you are afraid or are in danger of death, you will pray the Act of Contrition.
iggyjoan
oh... honestly, I thought JKR did a good job with the ending, because she would have had millions of angry fans if she killed him off and millions of angry fans if she didn't... so she did both. seems to me like a good compromise. and I TOTALLY predicted Lupin dying... see, he, Dumbledore, and Sirius are my three favorite characters in the whole series, and after Sirius died in book five, and Dumbledore in book six... I knew poor Remus didn't stand a chance.
yeah I predicted Lupin's death too.. and Wormtails. I knew that all the Mauraders were going to die. I was pleased with the end of the book and the book itself... lol I think I almost cried twice.. when
fred died
and when Harry talked to his parents and Sirius about death and he's like ".. Does it hurt?"
i just think its sad that tonks also died. poor teddy
AWWWW I KNOW!!!!!!!! i felt SO bad for him!!!!! awwwww
(I've had to avoid the phorums like the plague when someone told me there were spoilers on here. But I'm back now!) JKR did well, really well. I was pleased. The epilogue was kind of unnecessary, and oh-so-predictable, but cute nonetheless. Harry telling off Remus was great. Kreacher's change of heart was nice, especially the part where he was beating Mundungus over the head with a frying pan. I always knew Ron would come back when he left. Tonks was one of my very favorites. I was upset when I saw she'd died. But one of my favorite lines was when Ginny (I'm so glad she lived) and the others were fighting Bellatrix, and Molly came out of nowhere and said, "GET AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER, YOU--" Well, you know. I loved it. Does it show?
I loved the part where Kreature was beating Mundungus. I laughed outloud. When Mrs Weasley fought Bellatrix I was both amused and determined, because I can imagine her doing that and it was just great. I am SO glad she won.
Yes, I did miss something obvious. He pulled it from the sorting hat. I read that passage 4 times before I read it properly. That still leaves the question of how it got from the goblin to the hat unless it would always appear there for a true Gryffindor in need.
Yeah I missed that too. My absolute favorite funniest part of the book was during the battle (I think it was the chapter The Battle At Hogwarts, I'm not sure though) when Lavender Brown had fallen off of the balcony and Greyback was running towards her and Hermione shot him with a Stunning Spell or whatever, but Greyback was getting up and going towards both of them and then Professor Twelany ( I love her) out of nowhere drops her crystal ball on his head and is like "THERE'S PLENTY MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM!!!!!!!" I loved the book. : But I miss Fred. He was my favorite.
holyspirit1985
I loved seeing those we thought were evil were really good. Like Kreacher and Snape. It just goes to show we can't judge. We don't know. I loved the epilogue. I was so happy that Ginny and Harry got married, and Ron and Hermione. I just went to see the fifth movie, and everytime I'd see them together, I go to my friend "They get married!!" And she'd say "And have babies!!" It was amusing. All I thought when Harry "died" was "There is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend." That's exactly what he did.
iggyjoan
That's a good way to put it. When Harry "died" I was like "carp well there goes the plan". Needless to say, I was wrong. :

I also loved the chapter about Snape. It really made everything fall into place and I was like "Now I understand the world..." lol
