I had a really hard time picking my name, so it's okay if you do too. Originally, I was going to pick two names, Ignatious of Loyola and Joan of Arc, (thus my user name, IggyJoan) but I just decided that that wasn't for me. I just thought and prayed really hard about it and I decided that Faith was the Saint for me. I came up with the name by looking at patron saints, and that's what I advise you to do. Look for the patron of something that you like, or something that describes you; ie. if you like animals, maybe Francis of Assisi is the saint for you. I was fourteen, though, so I guess it's the same for Iggs and I. for my confirmation saint, I chose Brigid of Ireland (big surprise, huh?). I'm not sure what attracted me about her... I was basically just looking at random saints on the Patron Saint Index site, and looking at different things that saints were patron of. I kinda decided that i wanted a patron of scholars, because I tend to be a straight-A student and I wanted someone who I could ask for special help before tests and school stuff. I admit, I was also looking at pretty names. when I read Brigid's story, I thought it was really cool how generous she was, and I liked how she looked up to St. Patrick, who's my older brother's confirmation saint and first name. she basically seemed like this awesome Irish role model, so I chose her. she's also patron of babies (among a LOT of other things) so I can ask her for special help when I have babies... and iggy, I always wondered how you got your user name.
