$3500 In Two Months? Is It Possible?

Okay, so here's the deal.

Phatmass will be doing something pretty soon that will require $3500. It has the potential to be a HUGE evangelization opportunity. We're talking about reaching a large Protestant audience with a solid Catholic message.

I can't get in to specifics right now, but I'm really excited about it.

So, any ideas on how to raise the money? I was thinking about putting up a meter on the homepage and updating it every night with what has been raised so far.

I was also thinking about getting at least 25 phatmassers to donate $1 each with a promise of each of them to get 5 other people to donate $1 each, with a promise of them to get 5 people to donate $1 each, and finally, a promise that those people will each get 5 people. lol

$25
$125
$625
$3125

Goal reached.

I'm without a bank at the moment... Bank of America is evil and all... so I'm currently putting my savings in a box in the backyard... but good idea! For those that can... :topsy:

This is probably a dumb idea, and no doubt something that doesn't help much for the immediate situation, but I think it would be awesome if phatmass published booklets about the faith that people could buy or download through the website. I was thinking of both apologetics stuff like Catholic Answers, but also spiritual stuff and theological things like what the Franciscans of the Immaculate do.. I dunno.. :(

It would be phly if phatmassers like Fr. Pontifex, cappie, phatcatholic, etc. wrote short booklets about stuff and we could get the Imprimatur somehow..

And we phatmassers could drop the edification-related tracts on chapels in our area and use the apologetics ones to give to people in appropriate situations.

Thanks.. I'm still trying to think of some on topic ideas for dUSt so don't worry..

But I do think it would be phat if someone handed me a Jack Chick tract and I was like, ok, now here's a phatmass tract for you to peep.

Funny y'all say that because it's one of my goals to start publishing things.

One of the first things I was going to have was downloadable tracts that will aid parishioners to fight liturgical abuses at their parishes--in a very polite and friendly manner of course.

Such a thing is very much needed.

Seriously you should sell cookbooks. People buy that carp. You could call it "Phatcook" and include recipe submissions from all of us. I actually started compiling all the recipes from the recipe thread. Then your bourbon bread pudding recipe would be more than just semi-famous.

"Death Sandwich"

Spread Peanut Butter, Jelly, Fluffer Nuffer, butter whipped icing, Cinnamon Sugar, inside two pieces of bread, spread butter on top of the top piece, toast until golden brown...

Its really good... but don't be surprise if you heart stops lol

noway!! :yahoo:

*weeps*

That is my dream come true! I've been studying recent Church documents and stuff specifically to write tracts for that exact purpose! If I ever finish one I'll send you what I've got and hopefully it will be your style.
