EAnn246
Last weekend I went to Mass at a different church. I was thrown off by several things that they did. I've never expereinced these things in any Catholic Mass. 1.) They didn't say "Lord I am not worthy to recieve You, but only say the word and I shall be healed." 2.) After we sang the "Amen" they stood up and continued singing. I have no idea what they were saying as I couldn't understand anyone. Do you know what this could be? Were they doing things wrong? Pio Nono
JMJ 7/17 - Fifteenth Tuesday EAnn246, Normally, what you list here would not occur at Mass. The first thing you listed should be done all the time - I don't know of any exceptions. The second (regarding the standing and singing) could be a local rubric...also, if they sang the word "Amen" more than once, perhaps they simply stood after the first one. Hope this helps.
