jeffpugh
I'm going to see it soon, I think. Might be interesting. . I can't wait to read the "last" book. Just get the series over with.
uruviel
I personally do not like the harry potter story. I do not like the way she mingles in such darkness into her stories, hidden behind bravery and personal triumph. I do not know what to believe anymore, they are real incantations that she uses in them, to me that is creepy. No thank you, I do not desire to finish the series, but I would love to hear spoilers from others who have, because I am dieing for Harry to die. She is an incredible writter with immense talent and imagination, but I do not respect her for the witchcraft and wizardry that she puts into her stories. I have been advised to steer clear of them, and so I am doing. I think it would be an interesting movie to see, whereas I'm not dieing to see it, I am curious as to how they made it. God Bless. Brigid
I feel like Neville is going to become just like Snape when he grows up. Except that he isn't in Slytherin. Whatever. -Mark
I disagree - Severus was made fun of TONS, had no friends, no one to turn to, etc. Neville is made fun of, but he has a support base, and people who will back him up if he needs help. there's no chance he'll turn out like Snape. and as far as Harry dying - I'll only tolerate it if Voldemort dies, too, and the good people win. I know that Lupin will die, though, because my three favorite characters all through the series were Remus, Sirius, and Dumbledore. Sirius died in book five, of course, and Dumbledore in six, so Lupin pretty much has to die in seven.
xTrishaxLynnx
I have a feeling this book is going to be pretty grim, but we've been waiting for it for 10 years so it had better have a decent ending!!!
Bonbon
The Movie was awesome!! I was a little confused at the end and was kinda disappointed that it jsut left me hanging. But I guess that it will give me a reason to watch the next. Not that i need one I haven't read any of the books, thats prolly why i was a little confused. And i haven't seen the one before this one since it was last in theatres so I was trying to remember what happened in that one while watching the new one But other all i loved the harry potter movies!! It isn't Harry or Neville.
I didn't think that was a big secret since they've been quoted as saying
2 major characters were going to be killed off in the end.
But I thought that was common knowledge.
I thought it was too... especially seeing as that's been a theme with the characters since book four. I'm sorta prepared for it... just not for Harry.
Yeah. I think Harry dying is the only way that the series can end.
Not at all. He's the good guy. She'll kill off close characters (though I don't think Hermione or Ron). But how are people not arguing over whether or not Snape is good or evil? Yes... no Harry dying. This is interesting logic. I follow you on it.... I could see that happening. I figure it'll be one adult and one Hogwarts student (Neville or Luna are my guesses... though what about if Draco Malfoy died? Would we feel sorry for him?) -I---Love
I was kinda disappointed w/ the movie - but I guess I am w/ all of them since the books are so much better. But I definitely agree that too much was cut out - Hermione and Ron as prefects should not have been cut out, the r/t w/ Cho was no loss being cut out in my opinion - they showed a glimmer of it - Luna should have been weirder - she seemed to cute and like Harry might start liking her or something. Umbridge was good - she made me despise her character which is what the book did too. The newspaper articles to explain everything was almost clever, but somewhat disappointing. I'm not sure anything else could have been done though, because to tell the truth I was getting bored by the movie. Sometimes I felt it moved too slow w/ things and I really felt embarassed from some corny acting by the trio at the beginning of the movie. It was decent all in all. Question though...did they leave out somewhere at the end Harry summoning Dumbledore's Phoenix because of Harry's loyalty or is that a different book? Because if they left that out that is the number one thing I was missing...
onlygrace08
BTW I just read an artilce by a shrink who thinks Neville is the chosen one and saves the day and dies in the end.
This question was already answered in book 5. Harry says something to Dumbledore along the lines of Neville being the chosen one and that Voldemort just made a mistake. But, Dumbledore points out that because Harry was the one that Voldemort attacked, he is the "chosen one". It can't be Neville.
The movie totally rocked. Off course they left some stuff out, but the fight seen at the end was awesome.
I too was rather sad that so much was left out... especially the Weasley's portable swamp. However, there was one thing in the fight scene that I thought was poorly done. There was one point where Dumbledore and Voldemort were dueling when their wands connected... just like in the 4th movie's Priori Incantatem. I thought that that part might be rather confusing to someone who hadn't read the book and didn't know that that wasn't what was going on there...
