my EVERYTHING!

Fraternites monastiques de Jerusalem - they're French, though, and not in the U.S. There are two autonomous communities of men and women. Their site is here: http://jerusalem.cef.fr/

I have been to these two monasteries, both of which I would say are traditional:

Abbey of Christ in the Desert, Abiquiu, NM

I think that you get this kind of reaction because you come off as pushing an agenda against the Novus Ordo and some of the liturgical practices that came out of Vatican II. Not everyone thinks that they are all bad - as you seem to - (although most of us would agree certain acts are not good). I hope that you can come to see that just because something is not "traditionalist" that does not mean it is not as good.

There are many religious orders that are fantastic and that do not have a specific interest in Latin or the Tridentine Mass. If you expand your horizons, St B, you might find that you do not get the abrasive reaction that you seem to spark in others. That does not mean that you have to give up your love for those things - simply respect that other people may not like it and that is OK.

I agree it was very rude... I mean there are better ways to say things... But perhaps you didn't mean it in that context? :)

I do have to say though: Hurrah for Orthodox! (Though I do like Mass in English... I get lost in Latin sometimes!)

There are orthodox Roman Catholics who attend the Novus Ordo, you know. :) Non-traditional (or less traditional) is not synonymous with unorthodox.
