Actually, miss Budge, she did not exist when they were given to the people of Israel. We're not Sylvia Browne drones who believe in ""Mother God" *shudder*. The commandment she falls under is "Honour thy father and mother". She is our mother! Christ gave her to us when he was on the Cross: "Woman! Behold thy son!". Giving Mary to the Apostle John was a gift to the whole Church.

In your last post you admitted that you believe she is a person in heaven. Despite our disagreements on the rest of it, this we agree on. You need to at least have respect for someone even you believe is a faithful believer in heaven. Have some respect for the people who have gone to meet God before you, and whether you believe there is any doctrinal connection to it or not, try to have some respect for the woman to raised Christ on this earth. Its only Christian. Don't let your disagreements on doctrinal matters cause you to say hateful things about one of Gods servants in heaven. We are called to treat our neighbor as ourselves. This goes for our enemies as well as our friends, even moreso for those in heaven. I'm not going to say that you have necessarily broken this, but just be careful because it can be easy to do when trying to defend one's beliefs.

Poor Budgey. You just don't get it. To be a Christian you need to act like a Christian. To insult the mother of Jesus is not going to please Him. You certainly cannot make it into heaven with that attitude. I would recommend you learn how to be a Christian before you actually claim to be one.
