Saint_Gemma_Galgani
Does anyone know of a convent where the Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated, which is in full communion with Rome? Edited June 25, 2007 by Saint_Gemma_Galgani

The community in NH has an "irregular status" as a religious community but not as Catholics! However, I think progress is being made. The communities in Still River are approved by the diocese and have status as diocesan institutes. They are very well regarded by the Bishop. I have no idea about MICM's in Virginia. I've known the communities for 33 years and have never heard of a community in Virginia! There is a lot of confusion and false rumours that go around about the MICM but I can highly recommend the community in Still River. However, if one is looking for a community with a stress on the Office this wouldn't be the community for you. They are a more active community. Totus Tuus
I've met some of the sisters from Still River and Sr. MC is right -- they're totally solid. I too have not heard of the Virginia community but I honestly know very little about the Order itself. I do know that they make traditional publications like books and "Old Calendar" (liturgical) calendars

AlterDominicus
Yeah more or less, veritas is right. Its more the Novus Ordo mass, with a really awkward liturgical calender, but its ALL in latin except for like the readings and gospel and homily of course. We were there Sunday, haha, and it said like the Sunday after pentecost, and all this other stuff so Sister Maria Stella had to explain the whole Vatican II-ish like thing to us. It was pretty funny.
