Laudate_Dominum
Are the laity allowed to recieve the Holy Eucharist more than once in one day? I've heard different things on this so I was wondering if anyone knew the official rules. Thanks
Pio Nono
JMJ 2/2 - The Presentation of Our Lord Laudate_Dominum, Nice name. Here's how Canon Law answers your question: "A person who has received the Most Holy Eucharist may receive it again on the same day only during the celebration of the Eucharist in which the person participates, with due regard for the prescription of can. 921, 2." (CIC 917) Canon 921, 2 deals with those in danger of death. I have heard many say that one may only receive the Eucharist twice in a single day; however, Canon Law seems to indicate otherwise. I hope this answers your question. Yours, Pio Nono
