IcePrincessKRS
Cereal. The breakfast of many. Like any good mom I try to steer my way around that aisle as quickly as possible and only pick up "healthyish" cereals (most kids won't fall for Grape-Nuts, but I can deal with Frosted Mini-Wheats), speeding by the Froot Loops, Lucky Charms, and Corn Pops. But my husband, my darling husband, is a sucker for those. So what does he do? He buys Cocoa Crispies. And you know what my girls won't eat? Frosted Mini-Wheats. I finally suckered Adrienne in by the allure of frosting, but Genevieve held her ground. In her sweet little girl voice she coos, "Ont cocoa bombs." I offer the other cereals we have (Mom approved). "No. Ont cocoa bombs." Finally I give in, turning to Matt and say, "See what you've done?" He vows he won't buy Chocolate Frosted Sugar Bombs again. Genevieve giggles with glee at the bowl of chocolatey goodness that sits in front of her. True story.

IcePrincessKRS
I don't doubt it. lol He will get a craving after a while, we'll be in the store and he'll see them and say "I haven't had these in SO LONG!" And the process will start anew.

I'm kind of anti-cereal anyway, but we have it when Matt is around (I say that like he's usually not around. He is usually around, but its just that we were apart for so long the lingo still hovers about from time to time). I prefer eggs, oatmeal, and pancakes. I guess I'm a little old fashioned in that regard.
homeschoolmom
I just sent HSdad off to the grocery store with short list of items: milk Pizza from the deli bread cereal Now, I did not specify what kind of cereal or how much. I'm guessing he will buy at least two boxes and at least one will be kid-friendly

CatholicCid
Buy a colorful, sugar chocked cereal they've never heard of. Remove and hide bag inside box for your later consumption (you'll need it to keep up with them someday) and place a healthy cereal inside the box. See if they notice. Totus Tuus
Same problem in my house, except dad doesn't by the sugary cereals because he likes them; he buys them because they're cheaper. However, I hold my ground when serving the healthy cereal. It's that or nothin'. It's funny, because sometimes the younger ones will purposely get up before me, so that they can make their own cereal- the kind they want
