College Major Situation

I found out on Tuesday that my school [University of North Florida] might be dropping its Special Education major. Apparently, there is a real move in Florida towards inclusion---thus less need. [Which is a whole new discussion...but anyway...]

My friend told me this when I was on my way to Mass Tuesday evening. All during Mass I could barely concentrate because I was thinking about this.

First of all, picking UNF was really really hard for me. It certainly wasn't my first choice, but through a series of events, and especially through my year there, I really feel like it was where God was calling me to be.

If they drop this, I don't really know what to do--I don't know if I would need to transfer to another school, or pick a different major--I don't know what.

I also really feel called to work with people with special needs--hence the special education degree.

I'm calling the school tomorrow to see what I can find out--I'm three hours away right now, so I can't really just pop over to the office or anything...

I know I shouldn't worry [yet anyway] because I don't know anything for sure, but this is really freaking me out right now...
