I'm just curious, with the Universal Dance song and with DJ Bill's "Catholic Dance" and of course I was a fan of this season's "Dancing with the Stars", I was wondering.....how many of you dance? Use to dance in the past? Would like to learn?

The Hokie Pokie counts.

Personally, I'm a fan of cumbias. It's very similar to country dancing, but not. I would LOVE to learn how to dance swing and do the Lindy Hop.

Can't say I dance well, though I try. I don't really know how to dance, though. But ceilidhs are fun, if you ever get a chance to do that.

The Lindy Hop is AWESOME!! I definitely want to learn it. Swing is a ton of fun as well. I voted Ballroom though. ^_^

Theologian in Training

Before I entered the seminary...

I used to Swing dance (and did once with an old friend from the swing clubs at my ordination) and have taken countless lessons in ballroom...I doubt I would remember all of them, but I learned , West Coast Swing, East Coast Swing, Cha Cha, Rumba, Tango, Fox Trot and Waltz. And, who secretly doesn't know the "running man," the "roger rabbit" the "hammer dance," and the "moonwalk" :pinch: ;)

Everybody should dance, whether they are good at it or not. Being good is not the point, having fun is. :yahoo: :plankton: :taco:  :twist: :breakdance: :dancer1:

The Safety dance?

I've been a big fan of swing (I'm decent at east coast + jitterbug, I could only do Charleston for my life, and don't really know west-coast or lindy). I just finished some ballroom classes, but I'm not too good with them (cha cha, waltz, rumba, foxtrot, american-style tango). I want to find some long-term cajun classes around here (it's similar to country styles). I wouldn't mind salsa either...

I've got a little bit of a beef with line dancing. It's ok, but it absolutely killed most country couple dancing...

Unfortunately I don't dance. I wish I could swing dance, but there aren't any people from whom I could learn from around here. *sniffle*
