Sixtina87
I have been getting emails, text messages and so on...about tomorrow! So i am spreading the word!!! Since gas is now over $3 a gallon....which I can remember filling my car up for $20 a week instead of $40 and gas prices under $2 which was about 5 yrs ago...or so!!! So join me and my family and friends by BOYCOTTING GAS! IN 1999 WE DID IT AND THE PRICES WERE LOWERED 30 CENTS OR SO....EVERYONE IS SUPPOSE TO DO IT.....SO DON'T BUY GAS TOMORROW!!!!!!
homeschoolmom
But when I buy gas on the next day (along with everyone else) how will this make one iota of difference?
the_rev
Coincidentally I will be traveling tomorrow and will need to purchase gas before I go to my class. I will protest the protest since I think it is ridiculous, and I would need to see documentation from the 1999 boycott.

Sixtina87
I honestly think the prices are getting too high....i remember when i started driving....i could fill my car up with $20 and no more!!! Of course that was like less than 5 yrs ago!!!! Now it seems like I am working just to get myself there!!!! Any of us are lucky enought o find gas that is less than $3...however it could be pushing $4 in some of the bigger states........
Church Punk
There is a better what to do this.... in is inevitable that you need to purchase gas. However you can choose who to purchase from. The idea is to not purchase from any of the major 2 or 3 gas companies and only support the smaller guys. If everyone teams up on this one, and never buys gas again from one of the following, they will notice HUGE lost in sales and will be forced to lower their prices. Because they control the market, it will result in everyone lowering their price. It will only work if we work together. So in the USA. DO NOT BUY GAS FROM EXXON, or MOBILE. or any of their sub companies. IN Canada, that is Shell, ESSO, or Petro Canada (the same companies). Lets do it, the boycott only works for 1 day, they dont loose anything, this will work because they can lose everything!

Church Punk
Better yet we should start producing Bio-desiel and everyone can run off of McDonalds french frie grease!
Sojourner
or we just all use public transportation or walk or bike. Or we could start riding horses again. I'm all for that.
