Strictlyinkblot
Check it out. http://www.poorclares.ie/ I know it sounds like something out of Father Ted (comedy that pokes fun at Irish life and catholicism, but more at the culture rather than the faith itself)
NonNovi
The complete name is Soeurs de la Consolation, du Sacré Coeur et de la Sainte Face
I know, I met them a few times already (and they're always so happy to see me ). Will be seeing them again next week
beatitude
Blessed Charles de Foucauld! As soon as I saw the emblem I broke out smiling - I love it when he pops up in my life. NonNovi, do you have any more info on this community - whether they are contemplative, apostolic, etc?

It really doesn't sound like it's real but could there be a more perfect place for nuns to live?
NonNovi
Blessed Charles de Foucauld! As soon as I saw the emblem I broke out smiling - I love it when he pops up in my life. NonNovi, do you have any more info on this community - whether they are contemplative, apostolic, etc?
They have a monastery in Draguignan (Southern France), diocese Fréjus-Toulon (msgr. Rey, very good bishop!). The sisters live together, pray the Divine Office together (in Latin) but are not contemplative. This creates some freedom for apostolic activities outside the monastery. They often work with groups of children and young people, accompany pilgrimages and organise retraits, all of this in the spirituality of Charles de Foucauld. If you understand a little French, you should check this out: http://gloria.tv/?media=36350

Found this on tumblr, (no mention of who they are, just that they were sisters). I'd feel like a fantasy princess in those habits....

Gemma
The Spiritual Family, The Work. Yes, that's the real name. They wear this garb only for religious functions. In the apostolate, they wear civies. I'm wanting to say they're akin to a secular institute, and were founded by a laywoman. Blessings, Gemma
